A safe journey is a pleasant journey
What should you pay attention to while sailing?:
The engine is easy to control using the throttle and tiller. The throttle can be used to sail both forwards and backwards.
It is not allowed to moor on the Oude Gracht due to crowds
Safety first, don't take any risks.
Always sail starboard (right) at a speed that does not create any annoying waves. Always adhere to the maximum speeds of 4.5 km per hour that apply in and around the Utrecht Canals.
Commercial shipping (including Port Services, tour boats) always has priority.
Make sure it is clear to others in which direction you are sailing. Approach bridges so that you are visible to any oncoming traffic.
It is prohibited to operate a vessel under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
You are not allowed to moor to trees, under or next to bridges or in places where this is indicated by a prohibition sign.
Amplified sound is not permitted on the boats and/or jetty.
People live on and around the water. Respect their privacy. Do not cause any nuisance on the water or when leaving/returning from the Terrasboot jetty.
Make sure the boat is returned clean and tidy. If this is not done, an amount of the deposit may be withheld.
Make sure the boat is returned on time. If this is not the case, all costs incurred and lost income will be charged to you.
Terrasboot is not liable for damage to the boat or damage to (property of) third parties.
